My inspiration and purpose
The Governance Project was born from a deep concern for New Zealand's future. After nearly 30 years of workinng in Government in many roles at many levels, I felt frustrated and disappointed by the lack of integrity within the system. I studied many years strategy and performance systems completing it with a PhD where I perservered in understanding what makes effective leadership and governance - and what doesn't. We believe ourslves, we can collectively build a more resilient and effective nation.

Our main goal at The Governance Project is to foster understanding, raise awareness, and build knowledge around what good governance and leadership truly entail. For decision-makers and legislators, this means providing insights that lead to better policy and practice. For the everyday public, it means demystifying complex systems and offering clear, actionable information. Together, we can create a more informed and engaged society - it's a journey.
